Our members can join and participate in small groups, or Communities. These groups are built around job functions and key areas, like Digital Health. We serve public, private, academic and government groups in healthcare, life sciences and Information Technology fields. Our work includes:
- Supporting the improvement of patient care through innovative, cost-effective technologies
- Bringing new ideas and meaningful relationships together to help solve complex healthcare information problems
- Providing a public exchange to share best practices and explore ideas
- Learning from professionals and peers about this growing and changing industry
Each Community is managed by volunteer-led committees that organize special events, projects and outreach. The committee helps TAO members and non-members learn about emerging technology and issues, align IT investments with business strategies and expand visions for future technology through cross-discipline collaborations around healthcare information. Applications of digital health can be administrative, business or clinical in nature and may include areas as diverse as patient insurance billing or supercomputing for genetic research.
