Apprenti - a new approach to filling the talent gap through an innovative registered apprenticeship program.
In an effort to expand registered apprenticeship opportunities, Lane Workforce Partnership (LWP) and the Technology Association of Oregon (TAO) have partnered with Oregon Employment Department to pilot the first registered apprenticeship in tech in Oregon. This program, Apprenti, will launch in Lane County and eventually be modeled throughout the state.
Apprenti is designed to provide participants aspiring to attain high-level jobs within the tech industry with paid training and advanced skillsets. Oregon will be the third state in the nation to embark on this structured, innovative platform to empower job seekers passionate about tech. LWP and TAO expect to place nine apprentices this fall, with the expectation to discover the best candidates to fit the needs of its member companies in pursuit of culitvating exceptional local tech talent.
Join us for an info session with Apprenti starting at 3pm in the Barrel Room at Tap & Growler. Apprenti team members will discuss the recently successful launch in Washington as well as Lane County's exclusive opportunity to receive the benefits of this nationally registered apprentiship program, along with the innovative platform to help match potential apprentices and employers based on a company's specific needs.
A mixer will follow from 5-6pm to include drinks and apps.
