Tara Starr

Tara is the Executive Director of the Oregon Techworks Association, where she channels her diverse background and passion for community into supporting the growth of tech companies in Oregon.

After graduating from Western Washington University in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in Spanish, Tara pursued her interest in management and organizational leadership, earning her master's degree from Warner Pacific College in 2017.

With experience ranging from ESL teaching to sales development and event planning, Tara brings a wealth of skills to her role. She's driven by a desire to help others succeed and is particularly passionate about coaching, fitness, and connecting people.

Outside of work, Tara enjoys spending time with her (new!) husband and their border collies, Tucker and Lucy. You can often find her at the gym, hosting game nights with friends, or exploring new restaurants and coffee shops with her chef husband.

Tara's goal is simple yet ambitious: to provide valuable resources and support to Oregon tech companies, helping them thrive in a competitive industry.
