Cara Snow, TAO's newly named Chief Community Engagement Officer, is a high energy, civically minded executive and a native of Atlanta, Georgia. She grew up outside of Atlanta, attending the University of Georgia and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before beginning her career in technology as an in-house recruiter for CTS, a regional technology consulting firm. Over 8 years, she moved into channel management and business development before becoming the Atlanta Director, achieving multiple years of significant, sustainable revenue and profitability growth that eventually led to the company's acquisition. Cara led a team with technology reseller, SHI, rebuilding an under performing territory before spending a heady year with a Gartner magic quadrant recognized tech start-up. In 2016, she joined the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) where she became the first Chief Development Officer, leading funding initiatives and community engagement efforts to educate, influence and unite Georgia’s innovation economy.
Cara is an active member of the Junior League of Portland and serves in an national role with the Association of Junior League International as a Diversity & Inclusion Volunteer Specialist. She is the Chair of the Executive Committee for the UGA College of Education Board of Visitors and sits on the Nominating Committee for the Tech Councils of North America (TECNA). Cara is a two time nominee for the Women in Technology Woman of the Year Award, a Girl’s Inc. BOLD award and a TAG Diversity in the Workplace award as well as named an Atlanta Business Chronicle Top 40 Under 40 and a University of Georgia Alumni Association Top 40 Under 40. In October 2017, she was honored to deliver a TED Talk with TEDxPeachtree about measurable change. An avid runner and 17-time marathon finisher, Cara is married to Ricky Snow and a recent resident of NE Portland where she enjoys reading for pleasure, pretending to be a master chef and managing her 5.25 pound Chihuahua, Toby.
