Oregon-Israel Business Alliance

Community Co-Chairs:
Steve Rosenberg, Noah Siegel

The Oregon-Israel Business Alliance (OIBA) is a community of the Technology Association of Oregon that connects Oregon-based business to Israeli counterparts, and vice-versa. We work with business professionals, governmental officials, universities, and economic development agencies to expand business and economic relations between the State of Oregon and Israel. Recognizing their shared entrepreneurial and pioneering spirit, OIBA supports and promotes existing businesses and new opportunities, especially in tech fields important to both states, such as software development, clean-tech, bio-science, agriculture and tourism.

Israel has become known throughout the world as the “Start-Up Nation.” During the past five years, Israel has seen explosive growth in public and private investments and continued business expansion. Outside of Silicon Valley, Israel has more start-ups than any place in the world. Investors, public officials, scientists, hedge fund managers, venture funders, and corporate leaders from around the world have flocked to Israel to seek knowledge of its success, and to create opportunities for mutual profitable engagement. Per capita, Israel has more high-tech startups, scientists and engineers, research and development spending, venture capital investment, and patents registered in the United States than any other country in the world.
