WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
In the beginning, smart communities were powered by a showcase of technology gadgets: smart buildings, traffic lights, waste receptacles, and hundreds of other sensors and devices placed in our community to help with day to day tasks and operations. Industry leaders today, however, recognize a shift to Smart Community 2.0 which is fueled by data. And partnerships powered by data and analytics can drive the best outcomes for our citizens and community.
Join Technology Association of Oregon and Lane County Technology Services for a Lunch & Learn on Wednesday, May 22nd from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm to discuss strategies for evaluating and implementing technologies that improve the overall function of cities with Lane County, spur environmentally responsible economic growth, and enhance the quality of life of all residents.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Anyone in the community that is interested in what open data is, what the potential could be, how it ties into smart communities and what they might be able to do to help.
