Join Technology Association of Oregon and Amplified by Design for a discussion how design thinking and human-informed design provide a framework for addressing complex social issues such as houselessness, in Portland and beyond, at a Lunch & Learn on Wednesday, February 13 hosted at GRIT Building Solutions.

In this discussion, the speakers will discuss the origins of design thinking and outline how a creative problem-solving approach centered on empathy and co-design can help galvanize a path forward for wicked problems facing our communities today. They will also outline how Amplified is applying some of these principles to their own social impact initiatives.

A light lunch will be included.

Keith Jones
Director - Social Innovation Practice - Amplified

As part of the board of the Lloyd Community Association, Keith led the effort to welcome R2DToo to the Lloyd and helped to create a coalition of businesses, non-profits, residents and homeless advocates to create a model for how neighborhoods engage in the homeless crisis in Portland. And in trying to understand the landscape, he found a labyrinth of services, a wealth of untapped data and an opportunity for technology to play a role in unexpected ways. Keith specializes in analyzing systems and relationships and creating innovation for public and private entities. He has worked on a vast array of web-based and new media marketing, high-end website design & architecture, and customer application design & development.
