The journey to becoming a true analytical competitor is extremely challenging and few companies have successfully completed the transition.  David Alles and Drew Smith from the International Institute for Analytics (IIA) will discuss market trends, common challenges, and best practices for operationalizing analytics, building analytics maturity and driving the cultural shift required for analytics to have a significant organizational impact.  David and Drew will draw upon IIA's proprietary assessment data, real world examples, and lessons learn from IIA's experience working with over 300 organizations. 

   
 

Leanne Shapro | Manager, Business Analytics | Smarsh

Leanne is passionate about using statistical analysis to determine business impact and recommendations, as well as a creative problem-solving tool. She continually reads research and study analysis, customer experience and organizational development.

Leanne has a Bachelor's Degree focused on Industrial and Organizational Psychology, research and statistics. She enjoys working with data, improving processes and finding unique ways to look at and solve new problems and challenges. Through these experiences, she has learned to work in many different team dynamics in which she has been able to meet tight deadlines, be flexible, and perform advanced computer oriented tasks.

Leanne has worked with multiple data sources, analytics tools, shared drives and documents. She has taken advanced statistical courses focused on Excel, SPSS, R and Power BI. She has experience in drafting, editing and preparing reports and presentations, visualizing data, working on multiple projects and tasks at a time, attention to detail, and advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft applications including Power BI, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, InfoPath, and Outlook. Many of these projects have given her the ability to work quickly, resourcefully and to follow through with tasks while maintaining the accuracy of her work.
