Walker Tracker Offering Challenge to Keep Portland Companies Active

During this unprecedented time, Technology Association of Oregon will be featuring the benefits and value that TAO member companies can provide to our greater community in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Taylor Welsh, CEO of Walker Tracker, gives an update on what the company is doing to keep Portlanders engaged and active while social distancing.

TAO Member Company: Walker Tracker

Give us a short intro to your business:
Walker Tracker is a b2b SaaS company in Portland that runs wellness initiatives for organizations. There are either team or individual-based challenges, and people can sync up many different wearable devices to help track steps. There is also an option to enter steps manually and a tool to convert 150 different activities into steps.

What resources can your business offer the community during the COVID pandemic?:
We're offering a free city-wide challenge for all Portland businesses and their employees to keep them active, connected and well. The "Seven Wonders of Oregon" challenge started on April 6th, but we're leaving the platform open so people can join in during the challenge. We want businesses in Oregon to have an opportunity to socialize, stay active, and encourage each other.

What is the best way for the community to get in touch?:
Please email kyle.a@walkertracker.com

What's your favorite way to pass the time during self-quarantine?:
We're making videos of how we're keeping ourselves entertained (exercise at home, going on walks, virtual game nights, etc)

What's one thing that helps you stay positive or gives you hope during difficult times?:
The Portland business community! It's wonderful to see people pulling together in this time and supporting one another. We truly are all in this together.
